20 ICT Training Hotspots

in social areas or schools of the municipalities, which can be established together with officials of the municipalities and volunteer workers and additionally function as contact areas for all citizens and thereby promote social inclusion. Professionals will offer ICT training for the target groups to improve digital skills and will train teachers and volunteers to continue to use the compiled working materials and methods in the established ICT Training Hotspots.

1. Preparation


  • During the preparation phase of the project all the relevant information about digital transformation will be prepared.
  • The working materials and the methods used will be defined.
  • Local authorities will be contacted in order to be informed about the project.
  • The ICT Training Hotspots will be established and the preparation of the teachers and trainers will begin.


2. Implementation - Pilot testing phase

  • In the pilot testing phase there will be 10 ICT Training Hotspots installed in schools and communities and courses and competitions take place.
  • Volunteer trainers and teachers will be provided with ICT-based working materials and educated accordingly.
  • Local and online learning communities will be founded.
  • The implementation of the first phase will be evaluated and continuously improved and adjusted.

3. Implementation - Upscaling phase


  • The results of the evaluation of the pilot testing phase serve to adapt the very well-functioning elements for the upscaling phase.
  • 10 further ICT Training Hotspots will be installed in communities and schools with different framework conditions.
  • A sustainable structure of free courses, local and online communities will be pursued in all 20 ICT Training Hotspots



4. Dissemination


  • The aim of the project is to attract interest among other actors across Europe to spread the idea of ICT Training Hotspots in different countries.
  • With the help of YouTube videos, the learning platforms and a handbook, interested actors will be able to get more involved with the project design and get the opportunity to carry out these learning offers themselves.
  • News about the project progress will be available on our website and Facebook.
